How does online shopping work? – HandyRetail

All you need to do is SIGN UP by providing some basic information, and specifying your delivery address or Click n Collect collection point.

Then, you’re ready to get started.

Once you have created your profile, you will shop as follows:

You will be able to navigate through the shop and select the items you require. (You can select substitutes, in case a product is out of stock at the time of picking your order.)
Once you have navigated through all the aisles and you are ready to complete your order, select a delivery slot (date and time) and click check out.
Add in banking details and payment method.
Total cost is an estimate as some items may be substituted or sold by weight.
Exact cost is shown on invoice.
You will receive a confirmation email that your order is placed.
A Pre-authorization cost of R1 is taken to verify the account and is immediately reversed.
A Reserve amount is processed the day before your delivery prior to the commencement of order picking, unless otherwise stated.
If payment authorisation is successful, the order amount plus a nominal additional percentage will be reserved.
The additional percentage reserved allows for the inclusion of shopping bags, tolerances in variable/loose-weight products and price differences in substituted products that may be included in your order.
Payment is finalised for the actual invoiced amount once picking of your order has been completed, and prior to delivery, usually the evening before, or the day of delivery.
You will be charged the exact cost of your order.
Payment authorisation does not constitute a payment to Pick n Pay, but rather confirms the validity of the account information entered at checkout, and the availability of necessary funds.
The reserve amount is released by the customers bank once the customer is invoiced for the actual cost after picking.
A final confirmation is sent to you with the invoiced amount.
You will then receive your delivery as per your requested date and time slot
